- U.S.A', and above the REMINGTON RAND is stamped the number 129 (apparently hand stamped because of uneven spacing). The lower left frame is labeled 'UNITED STATES PROPERTY', and above the magazine release is stamped E.E.C.

. Colt duplicated the following serial number blocks: 60000 pistols in the Ithaca range 804 41696 pistols in the Remington Rand range 900 4171 pistols in the US&S range. Return to Colt Auto Pistol Models Home. Seems to have all the correct markings although the serial number is not quite 'even', that is, not neatly lined up. The serial number, 1,5xx,xxx puts it in 1943. It comes with a 1944 marked GI belt holster. The guy is asking $750. As far as the story behind the Remington-Rand. I had one of these about 25 years ago, also a 1943 model IIRC.

Using barrel codes (such as those listed above) to date the manufacture are reliable on Remington rifles, as the company rarely changed barrels on a customer’s rifle.
